This appendix lists the most useful commands. It is not an exhaustive list. There are many other commands. If you can't find a command in this appendix that does what you need done, don't quit here. Look further. Search on your system, using the man command described in this appendix. If you still don't find what you need, google for it. An amazing variety of software is available for downloading without cost. Also, for each command, the most useful options are listed. Many commands have more options. To see all the options for a command, use the man command.
